Clash has been a tremendous event since the beta release of it in 2017… It is considered as one of the most successful events in League of Legends. The main purpose of this event is to bring people together to make things normal again. The best thing about this event is that even if you lose a match, you will still win some prizes and rewards.

What is Clash in League of Legends?

Clash has been the consistent part of the League of Legends and players are always anticipating its events. For you, the good news is, the event is happening on this 19th and 20th August 2023, September 16-17,
October 14-15, and December 9-10. So get yourself ready for some battles.

How to Join Clash?

Joining the clash tournament in League of Legends isn’t that hard, there are just a few things that you need to have done before participating in the clash! Clash is an in-game tournament in which teams compete for rewards and glory. The following are the steps you must take to join Clash:

1. Reach at least level 30 in your Summoner account.
2. Complete all placement matches in Ranked mode for Summoners’ Rift.
3. Verify your “League” account using SMS (This requirement is specific to Clash).
4. Obtain a Clash ticket, which can be purchased with either 975 Blue Essence (BE) or 195 Riot Points (RP) for a standard ticket, or 975 RP for a premium ticket.

By fulfilling these prerequisites, you and your team will be ready to dive into the thrilling competition of the Clash tournament in League of Legends!

What are clash rewards?

In Clash tournaments in League of Legends, players have the opportunity to earn various rewards, including Trophies, Victory Points (VP), Orbs, and Capsules. Here’s a breakdown of the rewards and how they are earned:

Trophies

• Winning a bracket in Clash earns you a Trophy of the corresponding tournament theme.
• The highest-level Trophy you’ve earned will be displayed at the nexus in all your Summoner’s Rift games for two weeks after the tournament ends. Trophies also appear on your profile page.

Victory Points & Banner Frames:

• Winning matches in Clash grants you 200 Victory Points (VP).
• VP can be used to unlock Banners, which appear on Summoner’s Rift and on your profile.
• As you accumulate VP, you can unlock different levels of Banners and Theme Logos, which enhance the appearance of the frame holding the banner.

First-Win VP Bonus:

• Each tier in Clash (1 to 3) grants a different amount of VP for the first win of the day during a Clash day. Tier 4 does not offer a first-win bonus.
• Players can earn the first-win bonus once per day, each Clash day.

Orbs and Capsules:

• Every player who participates in Clash receives a Clash Orb or Clash Capsule upon exiting the bracket, regardless of whether they win or lose.
• The contents of the Orb or Capsule improve based on your ticket entry and how far your team progresses in the tournament.

Upcoming Tournaments

There is one event happening this weekend so, you better be ready for it. The name of the event is the Shadow Isles Cup which has four Tiers and it will start at 7:15 pm and will end at 10:00 pm. The timing of the tournament on the next day will stay the same.

Tier System in the Tournament

Every player has a rank in the game and that rank basically describes their tier value. The tier value is important because it will tell you when you are going to play the game in the tournament. The time of every tier is fixed and the whole tier system is divided into four.

Tier 4 will start the tournament at 7:15 pm. Tier 3 will start the tournament at 8:00 pm. Tier 2 will start the tournament at 8:45 pm and the tier 1 players will start their matches at 9:15 pm.

Tier 1 is for the Best players or the champions or the Grand Masters. Tier 3 is for the Gold players or some of the Platinum level players. Similarly, Tier 2 is for the Platinum and Diamond players while tier 1 is for silver rank players.

The Tier system is actually for the whole team, which means the ranks of all the players are collectively checked and given a tier number to the whole team instead of players.

Let me explain this with an example, if your team consists of four bronze players and you are playing with a Diamond, then you will be placed in the category of tier 3 instead of tier 4. The main purpose behind this is to balance the tiers so that no team outsmarts the opponent’s team.

Why the time policy for the tiers?

The time policy is made for the purpose which will allow the players of the lower-tier to play more and interact with other players. That is why you will see that most of the players are playing in tier 3 or tier 4 so that they can play more. Moreover, it’s a good habit as in Clash, the players of the same skills face the same level opponents.
